Can you take a rag top off a miata and put on a hard top?

Im looking into getting a miata but it has a rag top.I was wondering if i could take i out and put on a hard top?|||Absolutely. All you need to do is purchase the hardtop from either your local Mazda dealer or an aftermarket company, and put it on. It's an option from the factory for all Miatas so it shouldn't be too hard.|||You don't even have to take of the rag top to put on the hard top. These can be found used, at the dealer and some aftermarket ones are out there.

The hard top is to be bolted onto the car, its not retractable. So when you put the hard top on, you just have to fold down the soft top, no need to remove it. Then the hard Top bolts onto the car.|||The others missed the point if you mean to replace the soft top with a top that returns to a buried position in the trunk. You absolutely CANNOT do that. You can buy, as others noted, a top that sits on the car and clips in place.|||For Sure, do it! Your miata will no longer look like a california gurls mobile and transform into a borderline track machine.
