the grommet that came out might be very hard that will make it difficult .silicone spray on it may soften it up PS try it both ways

How hard is it to put in the PVC valve in an NA ('91) Mazda Miata?
Do you need to put the grommet on the valve first or the grommet in the valve head first? Everyone tells me it should be easy, and it LOOKS easy, but this valve is just not going in. I've lubed everything up and it's just not going in. Any suggestions?How hard is it to put in the PVC valve in an NA ('91) Mazda Miata?
