How to ajust a clutch on a 1990 Mazda Miata?

I gave my miata to my father 6 years ago, the clutch needs adjusting, anybody know how%26gt;? can it be done through the pedal? thanks in advance! LorinHow to ajust a clutch on a 1990 Mazda Miata?
The clutch is self adjusting. It it will not disengage the clutch then the system is leaking. Which is either in the master and/or the slave. It could also be a failed line (there is a hose in the system that fails).

So bleed the system and pump it up, that is all the adjustment there is!

If the clutch will not engage suspect that the clutch is gone. I just went ahead and replaced the complete set up with a ten pound flywheel off e-bay on one of my 90 Miata's last year for less then a stock set up.

There can be some adjustment in the free play between the pedal and the master cylinder.. typically if you look up underneath the pedal you will see a rod going into the firewall(into the master cyl.) This rod can usually be turned to adjust the space between the pedal and its contact with the cylinder



in other words the amount of free play the clutch pedal has... you could also try bleeding the master to make sure it does not have any air in it the same way you would bleed the brakes..
