What is the biggest or most powerful engine you can put into a new model of a Mazda Miata?

could you put a v8 into it? what the maximum horse power in a engine that you could fit into the miata. im looking to see if the engine would fit into a 2008 and up modelWhat is the biggest or most powerful engine you can put into a new model of a Mazda Miata?
Sure u can do it just need alot of money. I saw a V12 rover engine (if im not mistaken) in a miata before. Anything can happen if u have enough money. Someone even put a V8 engine in a mini cooperWhat is the biggest or most powerful engine you can put into a new model of a Mazda Miata?
I am partial to the Allison V12, or maybe one of those Rolls Royce engines from WWII fighters.

But the draw back is that you would have to make the trunk into the passengers compartment. But I am sure it will fit.



Horsepower and/or CI is not always the solution. Having known those that put V-8 engines into earlier modeled Miata's and heard the complaints about how wild it gets in the turns, I would suggest that a super-charged stock engine is an improvement that will prove more livable unless all you are going to do is cruise the interstate.

Which would be a waist of of great handling car. Just go buy a Mustang if that is what you want.
