Are the Xenon lights really that more expensive to install? I test drove a RX-8 with Xenons and Halogen lights aren't even close. I like Mazda and I think the Miata and RX-8 are great cars if you are into those types. You can really drive them due to their moderate horsepower/torque and have a lot of fun without getting into too much trouble. Why does Mazda only offer the Xenon headlights on the grand touring trims for the MX-5 Miata and RX-8?
All mazda models have avaliable xenon lighting except for the tribute I think. If your mazda doesn't have xenon you can add them or have them put in. I strongly suggest the 35w 5000k kit from ddmtuning.com. They have a nice factory look. Why does Mazda only offer the Xenon headlights on the grand touring trims for the MX-5 Miata and RX-8?
There are a couple of reasons, one is that they are more expensive - no idea of a manufacturers costs, but 拢50 to 拢100 is probably reasonable.
The other factor is to distinguish the different models, giving a more 'exclusive' feel that increases the perceived value.
You can always add aftermarket HID Kits, but ut may affect your warranty: http://www.hidkits.co.uk
