What car wax is recommended for a new Mazda Miata?

Please tell me the best product(s) to use both outside and inside my new ride.

The Miata owner's manual says to wax it immediately and to maintain the finish periodically with wax. It doesn't say what is best to use; it doesn't say what to avoid.

As for the interior of the car and the vinyl top, the manual does say to use a water-based dressing. What's best to use, and what's a must to avoid?

Any other advice would be welcome.

Car-love is grand, ain't it?!|||i know turtle wax brand is really good...but anything will work as long is not the cheapest brand u ll get..|||Absolutely avoid Armor-All on your interior - it will dry out and damage your interior.

As for the external wax, use either Mothers or Turtle Wax. Both very good brands, but don't do it often...maybe once a month. I know a lot of people that try to wax their car weekly, and it ends up creating some pretty ugly swirl patterns in the paint.|||for the outside i use zymol wax it cost around 15$ the bottle in pep boys and western auto, that wax smell like a banana dessert and it super easy to take it out and even remove small rash on paint too

and for inside i have a 323 88 and is vinyl not plastic like new cars material and since new and still have it and for the very first time until now i use armor all and it dont have any one crack ! ! now armor all have some interior wipes than are super good because you dont have to spray the product that sometimes go to the glass and is very hard to take it out so the wipes are very handly

see the car on my display foto? i still use it on 2002 protege model and just love it.... dont you love it too?|||zaino or, mothers for the exterior, and armoroll for the interior|||DO NOT USE ARMOR ALL ON YOUR INTERIOR!!! Armor All has alcohol in it. The plastic panels in your car are poreous. When Armor All dries out, it dries out the protectant that is already in the pores of the plastics. This causes dashboards to crack over time|||I have a garaged and babied Mazda. I would recommend Mothers polish and wax and/or Zymol. A wax is a protectant against your paint getting dirt embedded in the finish, the term acid rain is often used, if you notice after it rains you may have dirty raindrop spots on your finish. This is rain that has contaminents that show up on your finish. A good wax will help to resist this type of weather pattern. In additon, the sun will bake bird droppings into your paint, absent a good wax. It is for these reasons a good wax is recommended. Now a polish will add luster to the wax finish. It becomes like a chemical alchemy to the paint, that makes you see your self in the paint.

Mothers has done extensive research on the car polish and wax science. If you look on their website they go into great detail about the different stages of polish and wax they have tested over the years. Mothers is a good brand, however, I prefer Zymol for day to day wear and tear on the finish. Zymol lasts longer. What that means to you is that you don't have to wax and polish your car with as great of frequency. It is a more durable finish. I know this by running my hand across the finish. It will slide effortlessly for a longer period of time. Mind you my car is garaged. Zymol will polish and wax your car exceptionally well. Mothers will give you a show car shine, but against road salt, tar, gravel dirt; as of today, it's effectiveness is not on par with Zymol. My money is on Zymol.|||For the outside use any good polymer based wax. On the inside use Formula 303, its a water based vinyl dressing that will protect the plastic against UV rays unlike Armour All which is solvent based and can degrade your plastics.
