I live in califorina east bay, and was wondering if anyone knows of a place in the bay area that installs convertible tops? I have a 1992 miata that needs a new top. I called mazda but they dont install convertibles..|||Check the forums on http://www.miata.net.
You'll find someone who has experience in the Bay Area.|||Try a different Mazda dealer. I had mine replaced at a dealer. They will only install a part that you buy there. You can buy cheaper replacement tops online (eBay and others), but difficult to install. Auto upolstery shops can order and replace. Many options to choose from with aftermarket tops. Glass or plastic rear window. One piece or zip out window. Rear defroster or not.|||not the best answer, but try to google it, or call around and ask some places that deal in that issue, may be they can lead you to the right place or give you a number to call.|||Most auto upholstery shops are equipped to install a convertible top.
