What octane gasoline should i use in my 1992 Mazda Miata that has a super charger?

Is there any advantage to using a higher octane fuel in a Supercharged Miata.|||If you don't hear knocking (pinging or grinding combustion) from the engine when you tromp on the accelerator you can just use regular gas. If you do hear those noises then you need to move up to a higher octane (slower burning) fuel.|||EH!! Use whatever octane the supercharger manufacturer told you to. Anything else is just going to drive the anti-knock sensor and the computer nutz always trying to compensate for the nickel you'll save.

|||Always use premium and go for av gas if you can get it|||I agree with SVOman. Run at least 91 octane. That's recommended on any forced induction engine to avoid detonation.

However, the '92 Miata wasn't offered with the supercharger from the factory, so you won't find this info in the owner's manual.|||You must run the best gas you can get in a supercharged engine, failure to do so can be disastrous

92 and up.. your owners manual should tell you the fuel requirement, it is also printed on the dash and on the gas cap.
