How do you check if an ignition coil is bad on a 2000 Mazda Miata?

My mom's 2000 Mazda Miata will not start and is throwing a code for misfire on cylinder 3. The plugs and wires are fairly new. Does anyone know the resistance specs for the ignition coil?|||Between 9 and 13k ohms|||Please make sure all of the connections are tight. A missfire on #3 would also produce a misfire on #2 if it were the coil (this is a wasted spark ignition).|||It's the coil - notoriously bad on Miata's. All you have to do is compare it to the other coils anyway. It will be obvious.
